This was one of my best experiences at a hotel. I’m 44yrs old and travelled with my 12yrs old son Mason and 10yr old son Connor. We have stayed at the Blu for approx 10 nights over the past 3/4 yrs. Four seasons was our go to before it’s closed ( we live in Kelowna). We came down for the Canucks game that is typically the reason we visit. Melissa who works the night was exceptional both nights we stayed. First night she was helpful finding a iPhone charger for me. When she initially looked she couldn’t find one and directed me to a store that was still open (2am) that she thought might carry the charger. I had no luck there so when I returned to the hotel Melissa kept digging and eventually found a charger that would work ( it was one of those new C port chargers). The second night was even more impressive. My son Connor and I got sick in the middle of the night with what we think was food poisoning. Connor was quite ill and had thrown up over a dozen times. I came to the lobby and Melissa took immediate action and showed deep concern. She paged the Houseman and had him bring new sheets and comforters. In the morning the cleaning staff turned over our whole disgusting puke filled room with new sheets, towels and comforters. The staff that worked Dec 21st and cleaned room 323 in the morning should be recongnized for their outstanding efforts cleaning our puke invested room. Beginning to end our stay was wonderful and unforgettable. Hotel Blu is fortunate to have team members like Melissa. Hotel Blu will now be our hotel of choice when we visit Vancouver. I’ve worked at TD Bank for 20yrs and been branch manager in Kelowna Rutland branch for 14yrs. I’ll be sharing this story with my staff and will recommend Hotel Blu to my friends and family. Happy Holidays to all the Hotel Blu staff, especially Melissa.

Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Free room upgrade was offered from a King room to a King Suite. So spacious. Walk in waterfall shower and a bathtub. Location was in very close proximity to coffee shops, groceries, pharmacy, restaurants and easy access to other sights. 24 hour business centre, gym and free self serve laundry, and snack machines. Front desk are happy to top up extra Nespresso pods, cream, teas etc. Fresh fruit offered at front desk and in the business centre - nice touch for those heading out for the day. Evening door knock offered bathroom amenities such as toothbrush, toothpaste and extra coffee pods for the morning - brilliant extra service offered without having to ask. Swimming pool and hot tub with extra towels offered at the pool. Great job!

We loved staying at Hotel Blu. First of all the staff could not be more helpful and friendly. Everything with a smile and always willing to assist. We got some great recommendations from the concierge named Daniel. Thank you! Our room was very spacious and very comfortable. We had a balcony (overlooking nothing) and it was pretty hot when we were there so we didn’t sit out much, but we still prefer to have some outside space. The location was terrific. Easy walking distance to busses, ferry, and sky train or just walking. Many great restaurants within easy walking distance. We highly recommend this hotel.

I chose Hotel Blu for it's location near the Rodgers Center, which is a ten minute walk. There are many restaurants in walking distance or short Uber rides to other locations like Granville Island. The breakfast was very good with a variety of choices. The staff is very helpful and answered all my questions. Three is no onsite restaurant or bar, but as I previously mentioned just walk outside and you have many choices. From the airport I took the Skytrain to City Center and then a 10 minute walk to the hotel. It was very easy. In choosing the Hotel Blu you can';t go wrong.

The staff were really lovely and super helpful - we had to use the phone before we’d even checked in because I left my wallet at a restaurant! They were super lenient on the how we could pay the deposit due to this. They have curtesy bikes for you to hire which are electric and amazing. The room was spacious and the bed was wonderfully comfortable. The location is good, you can walk pretty much anywhere you would want to be in the city within 15-20 minutes. Vancouver does seem to have a terrible drugs problem but we did not see any of them around the hotel.
